about

Written in November 2018, Here It Comes is about the schemes of the devil, and the sometimes inadequate response from believers to get their hands dirty and do something about it. Believers, don't be afraid to be in the presence of darkness, it is where your light shines brightest.
This song took me back to my dark days, in that it is played in Am, a favorite of mine back then.

lyrics

You can see it coming
But it’s always a surprise
She’s been promised nothing
Good from this life

Tears roll from her eyes
Hurt by the hands
Of someone she loves
Will it ever end

Chorus

You can see it coming
Your mind starts running
Blend in, out of site
Our stand up and fight

It’s not what’s in it
It’s about what’s missing
Nothing is ever right
In the absence of the light
Where is your light

You can see his face in misery
You can see his face in revelry
He walks in and out among them
But no one sees him coming

Walking in the dark
Stumble lest you fall
Can’t see with just a spark
So snuff it from their hearts

Chorus

Gave into a lie
A little compromise
Just trying to be polite
Don’t trouble wrong or right

Memories to keep
The seed was buried deep
The coming of the weeds
In their shadows your relief

Chorus

Bridge
You can see his face in misery
You can see his face in revelry
He walks in and out among them
But no one sees him coming

But you can see it coming
Your mind starts running
Blend in, out of site
Our stand up and fight

It’s not what’s in it
It’s about what’s missing
Nothing is ever right
In the absence of the light
